Bangkok Layers : Curators note
It might take countless mirrors to reflect merely one topographical image of Bangkok. Although a mirror is capable to reflect clearly, it is a fragile material. Therefore, the mirror has to be enormous enough to entirely reflect Bangkok as the subject. Bangkok holds its myriad historical, sociocultural, economic, political, and governmental contexts which are too difficult to be understood within a specific science methodology. This has made anyone with an interest in the learning require imaginations and creativity to deliberate and analyze the information. It also leads to a task of making the places of the case study to be marginal so that people’s curiosity is protected from being contradictory to the original knowledge. The reflections of the mirrors appear before our eyes are not the truth in its entirety. It is necessary and essential for the interdisciplinary art sphere that the reflections of Bangkok case study should be made envisioned in order to invoke people’s imaginings and creatively provide spaces of discussion accordingly.
